I’m a Firefox man myself!

Reading this article about people telling the world that they will be out and that their house will be vacant for any opportunistic thief has confirmed my dis-interest.

That’s why I’ve been so quiet these last few months.

Lots of hustle, bustle and turmoil in this country of ours since then.

Pay cuts (in effect next Thursday), snow, ice, school closures and more.

Lots of fodder that I could have used to write posts about.

But, to be honest ….

I couldn’t be bothered.

Anyways …. a new year …. a new year resolution to become healthier and fitter!

Follow these guys as they operate to transformate!

Now …. I must quicken my step!

Luckily I found one I had saved earlier … it’s not up to date though and it lost some of my posts so a lot of error 404 pages to be found (or not as the case may be).

Still … the site has taken a hit and I’m going to take the opportunity to ‘tidy’ up things here.

I have deleted half of the plugins and have plans to delete at least half again!

Everything is in bold writing.

(Posts are bold, Random Quote is bold, Page List is bold, Recent Comments are bold, Categories are bold, Recent Posts are bold, Blogroll is bold, Tags are bold and even the writing in the footer is bold …. aaagh).

Yet, when I go into an individual post, it’s back to normal.

Or when I click on ‘Next Page’ (at the bottom of the page) it’s back to normal on the next page!

This all happens in Firefox.

It looks ok in Internet Explorer.

How does my site look to you?

Do you see everything in bold on the homepage?

But ….. the site seems to be down. When I went to look at stats the url directed me to the main page and it looks like a holding page.

Have a look …. tell me I’m wrong!

I’ve been quiet here of late …. as Grannymar knows … I’ve been developing some sites to try and monetise them so that they’ll be at the very least self financing.

I got holidays at the end of June. It’s just over a week and I’ve researched and registered 13 sites.

5 are active with posts on them while the other 8 are waiting for me to sort out the WordPress settings, upload appropriate themes and create header images for them.

My goal is to have 20 sites up and running by the end of August. No easy task as they all require 2 posts per week, submission to directories, monetising and further linking/back linking.

It all takes time as I’m finding out. Internet marketing takes time and effort … it ain’t no get quick rich scheme.

I have to win the lotto soon …… when I do I’ll out source the tedious stuff …. and I’ll buy google, ebay and whatever else takes my fancy.

What do you reckon …. want to go halves?

You might have noticed an increase in ads here …. the poor old blog is getting a right old mash up in experimentation!

I’ve found a cool plugin that allows me add videos to my site.

Check it out on the videos page!

On page one I like:

• Discover Ireland … an ad I know but I love the music ….. and the scenery!
• The Chieftains – Women Of Ireland (Mná na h-Éireann)
• Metallica – Whiskey In The Jar (Dublin Ireland, 2006) …. good man Phil!

And page two:

• Luke Kelly Song For Ireland ( slide show) …. an amazing singer … Rest in Peace Luke.
