Adrian Sudbury – a man of amazing courage

Adrian Sudbury - Baldy's Blog

I’ve been following Adrian’s blog for some time as he charted his battle with two forms of leukaemia. He has charted the highs and lows of his battle with cancer on his blog.

Adrian Sudbury has been a reporter for both the Huddersfield Express and Chronicle Series and the Huddersfield Examiner. In November 2006 the 25-year-old was promoted to digital journalist, effectively editing the new-look Examiner website. Just two days into his new role he became seriously ill and called in sick. A week later he drove himself to A&E and was eventually diagnosed with leukaemia. It was then identified that he actually has two distinct types of the disease running at the same time. According to the medical literature he is the only person in the world to have this condition. As such, it has not been possible to offer Adrian a prognosis. Here he shares his experiences of the disease and his treatment.

He has also run a very successful campaign where he wants to get a 40 minute talk to all second year sixth form students about why it’s important to think about donating blood, bone marrow and organs.

I write about Adrian because he has posted that he is moving into the closing stages of his life and that he has literally a weeks fews at most to live.

Read his latest post and leave a comment of support if you can.

I’m taking a break from the net for awhile.

Sleep, sleep and more sleep

Sleep, sleep and more sleep!

I could sleep for Ireland.

I could also stay up all night for Ireland.

I couldn’t manage much else for Ireland.

I’m always tired. I haven’t the energy to walk the dogs lately.

I lack motivation. I lack a reason to try to succeed.

I’m off to bed again.

A dog’s life!

A dog's life!

My dogs have it good ….. fed, watered, walked …. they don’t have to work.

It reminds me of the Mars ad ….. for (not) work, rest and play!

A little bit of this and a little bit of that!

Train

Amazing how a wildcat strike by train drivers can affect 10,000 passengers in one foul swoop!

All because a train driver didn’t want to move from his passenger train to take another guy on a training drive.

Boo to you ….. it could only happen in Ireland.

How Long Could You Survive Trapped In Your Own Home?

Not having any non-perishable goods in my house was my down fall!

I reckon they allowed me 30 days of life for natural wastage!

My ideal town!

My ideal town!

I’ve been thinking about my ‘ideal town’ and what it would contain to make it an ideal place for me to live in.

This is what I’ve come up with:

What kind of soul am I?

As asked by Grannymar:

The results are in:

You Are a Retrospective Soul

Retrospective Soul

The most misunderstood of all the soul signs.
Sometimes you even have difficulty seeing yourself as who you are.
You are intense and desire perfection in every facet of your life.
You’re best described as extremely idealistic, hardworking, and a survivor.

Great moments of insight and sensitivity come to you easily.
But if you aren’t careful, you’ll ignore these moments and repeat past mistakes.
For you, it is difficult to separate the past from the present.
You will succeed once you overcome the disappointments in life.

Souls you are most compatible with: Traveler Soul and Prophet Soul
